Does Initio work for my practice area?
Yes, for one practice area or several. Estate planning and family law have the most detailed intake forms today. Tell us what you practice when you sign up.
What does Initio send in my firm’s name?
The intake form, the fee agreement with its payment link, a welcome email once they’ve signed and paid, and a letter if you decline. Each carries your firm’s name, and replies go to your firm’s email.
Do I have to collect client payments through Initio?
No. The firm owner can turn payment collection off at signup or later in settings. The fee agreement still goes out for signature, and the matter opens once it’s signed.
What about people who contact us through our website?
Add them as you would a phone call or walk-in. If you want a more automated approach for web inquiries you can add the Inquiry response add-on.
How long does onboarding take?
A few minutes to sign up and set up your firm. If you collect payments, Confido Legal reviews your trust-account application separately, which it says usually takes 2–3 business days.
Does Initio replace my practice management software?
No. Initio ends when the client has signed and paid, and the legal work stays in the software you use today. The two aren’t connected. Initio emails you when a new matter is ready and keeps the signed fee agreement for you to download.
